Toa Fraser’s debut feature No.2 has been selected in competition for the USA’s most famous film event, the top ranking Sundance Film Festival founded by Hollywood star, Robert Redford. The film is one of only 16 films from around the world selected for Sundance’s international dramatic competition.

| Auckland Netball Players Make Fiji National Training Squad |

Fiji Netball has announced a squad of 27 members for the national training squad.
Over 60 players turned out for the recent trials, and 23 Fiji-based members were selected along with 4 overseas-based players.
Of the 27 members who were selected, 3 are from Auckland.
They are Myra Makitalena Rogers, Susan Tagicakibau and Marcellina Berwick.
Congratulations to our girls on this achievement.

The feature Film THE LAND HAS EYES will be opening in Auckland on the Big Screen in mid November.

Fiji Youth worker Epeli Vakalalabure was recently here in Auckland to attend the "Get Smarth Youth Conference".
He was in Auckland from July 10 - 24th.
He spent his first week attending the conference and the second week meeting new friends within the Auckland Fiji community.

The President of the Methodist Church in Fiji, Reverend Dr Jione Langi, has died at his home in Suva.
The Fiji Communities in Wellington and Auckland were privileged to have Rev Langi here with us from 1986 to 1997 where he served the Fijian and Rotuman Methodist Church in New Zealand before taking up post in Fiji.
